Volunteer Opportunities

We are able to provide service hours to high school students who would like to contribute to the community.  We have opportunities for helpers during events, as teaching aides, to help with the day to day operations, and for times when we need a little extra help around the studios for bigger tasks and chores.  We are able to work with high school interns to work with a member mentor in the area they are interested in in exchange for help in the studios as well.  High school students who want to volunteer or who would like to find out more about internships should text 601-493-4242 or email sarah@msfolkart.org to discuss the best way they can be a part of things.

In addition to student volunteers, we can use your help in other ways too!  We need volunteers so our events run smoothly, including everything from set up and clean up to behind the scenes work to helpful folks who would like to be there during events to be sure everything goes off without a hitch.  We need help with a host of other small daily details as well.  Please contact us if you would like to help keep our day to day operations running smoothly or if you would like to help with a specific event.
